Am I the right therapist for you?
Not all therapists work the same way - and that’s great. Here’s a little about how I work, so you can decide if I’m the right therapist for you.
Rooted in my practice is nervous system regulation.
At the start of a session we take a few moments to check in – often with a few intentional breaths or grounding techniques to help you settle.
My massage style is slow, calm, and intentional, helping your body feel safe enough to stop guarding, soften, and let go when it’s ready.
When the nervous system is on board, real change can happen.
I don’t offer bodywork in one specific style. I use a variety of techniques to encourage the body to unwind.
• Swedish massage
• Fascial bodywork
• Deep tissue techniques
• Acupressure & reflex points
• Therapeutic holds
It’s not about choosing one style or throwing every technique at a session - it’s about assessing what’s going on for you in the moment and responding to your body in real time.
I’m not a Sports Massage Therapist. But you can still come to me for focused work.
Plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulder, sciatica - I’m here for it all.
I use techniques like fascial work, trigger point therapy, and mobilisations to address what’s going on for you.
My approach is to work within your pain threshold rather than push past it.
You may want to use massage in conjunction with other healthcare professionals - Osteopath, Physio, Acupuncturist, Doctor, to manage your care.
*If you’re specifically looking for a traditional sports massage, I’m probably not going to be the right therapist for you.
We’re in this together.
I’m interested in working somatically, inviting you to become an equal part in your healing process.
Posture, stress, injury, or any sustained effort can create habitual holding patterns in the body.
By guiding your awareness to these patterns, you can start to regain control over tension and self-regulate.
More awareness → more relaxation → lasting change.
I’m a supportive guide, not a fixer.
The other details matter to me.
Creating a calming environment is part of every session regardless of what you’re coming for. A decent thought out playlist, a padded couch and face rest, hot towels.
Aromatherapy isn’t just a nice smell - it’s plant powered oils chosen intentionally to support the work we’re doing.
I also make up products so you can continue the benefits at home in between appointments.
