Hello, I’m Sarah.

I first came to massage and bodywork about 20 years ago while looking for ways to manage my own wellbeing. I know that when I take care of my health - a swim, eating well, regular massage - I feel more grounded. Starting bodywork just felt right – the ebb and flow of massage and the sense of presence and connection from touch therapy drew me in. During my studies, I worked in a hospice – that’s when I realised how deeply important this work is and how powerful touch can be. It was at the hospice that I learnt the importance of massaging with compassion and presence.

Knead + Ground was born out of my love for Bodywork (Knead) and Aromatherapy (Ground). I bring the different aspects of bodywork and aromatherapy that I have learnt along the way to my treatments to support physical and emotional well-being.

When you come for an appointment with me, I want to take you on a journey from beginning to end. Each session is approached with care and presence and tailored to you. I want you to feel completely held in the space and leave feeling nourished.

My practice is rooted in nervous system regulation and an invitation to work somatically; by noticing what is happening on the inside, we can begin to create lasting change in the body.

I have a degree in Integrated Therapy in Practice which includes a FD (Arts) in Health and Social Care (Holistic Therapies) as well as Clinical Aromatherapy, Swedish Massage, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, and Stone Therapy. I have continued my professional development in short courses including: Pregnancy Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Advanced Massage Techniques, Women’s Health, Breathwork, and Understanding Trauma. I am currently studying for a Diploma in Fascial Bodywork which is informing more of my current practice.

I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and committed to continued education.
